Press Release

Arrest in 2005 Homicide on Landover Road

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) has arrested 27-year-old Deron Isaiah Fell and 26-year-old Tarek Norris Davis in connection with a homicide that occurred on Landover Road on December 10, 2005.

On December 12, 2005, Fell, of the 13000 block of Fareham Lane, and Davis, of the 2600 block of Kirtland Avenue, were arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Both suspects were arrested at their residences without incident.

On December 10, 2005, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the victim and a group of friends had left a local restaurant after getting into an altercation with another group of people. Shortly thereafter, officers received a call for a car accident in the 2200 block of Landover Road. Officers found the victim, 23-year-old Anthony Moore of the 1100 block of 61st Avenue, and his friend (a 23 year old male) inside their car; they had both been shot.  The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and his friend was transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

PGPD closed 98 homicides in 2005 and an additional four during the first 11 days of this year. Three of the four homicides closed this year occurred in 2005.

The FBI standard that all police departments across the country follow to measure homicide closures is the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) standard.  The UCR standard counts all homicides that are closed during any given year, regardless of the year in which the homicide occurred.
